Our first destination is the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, renowned for being the backdrop of numerous cinematic masterpieces such as “The Kingdom of Heaven,” “Cleopatra,” and “Gladiator.” Delve into the rich history and cinematic allure of this ancient fortress.
Following the exploration of Ait Ben Haddou, we will proceed to Atlas Film Studios, where you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the magic of filmmaking and discover the behind-the-scenes of legendary movies.
After the enriching visits, we will transfer to the charming riad in Ouarzazate, where you will unwind and settle in. Later in the evening, delight in a delectable dinner showcasing authentic Moroccan flavors. Retire for the night and relax in the comfort of our hotel, preparing for more adventures ahead.
2th Day: Ouarzazate > Skoura > Dades Valley > Todra Gorges > Merzouga Desert
Embarking in the morning, we’ll journey through the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, starting with the Skoura palm grove and Amiridil Kasbah. Continuing through the Roses and Dades Valley, we’ll pause for photos before reaching the captivating Gorges. After lunch in Erfoud, we’ll head to the towering dunes of the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy tea before setting off on a camel trek to our Berber camp, where we’ll spend the night. Along the way, we’ll marvel at the sunset before relishing a delicious dinner under the desert sky.
3th Day : Jeep trip around Merzouga Desert
After a mesmerizing sunrise at the desert camp, enjoy a hearty breakfast before gearing up for an exciting jeep desert trip. Our first stop is the black desert, where we’ll mingle with nomad Berber families over tea. Then, we’ll explore the remnants of French colonization in an old town before heading to Khamlia for African music and another tea break. Later, we’ll visit a car museum before driving to our hotel with a pool, offering a stunning view of the dunes. For those wanting more time in the desert, there’s an option to extend your stay at the camp for two nights.
4th Day: Merzouga Desert to Fes
On the last day of our 4-day desert tour from Ouarzazate, we’ll start the morning with breakfast at the hotel before setting off from Merzouga towards Fes. Along the way, we’ll pass through Rissani and traverse the stunning Ziz Valley, making stops to admire the scenic views. Continuing our journey, we’ll visit the cedar forest of Azrou, where we’ll have the delightful opportunity to encounter friendly monkeys. Afterward, we’ll drive through Ifrane, a charming town known for its unique architecture, before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we’ll pause to take in the majestic vistas. Finally, we’ll arrive in Fes, where we’ll drop you off at your riad in the medina or at the airport, according to your preference, concluding our unforgettable desert adventure.
