Day4:From Zagora to Erg Chebbi Desert
Beginning our excursion towards the Erg Chebbi dunes, we cross the Sacred Oasis and Berber villages. Eventually, we arrive at the foot of the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes, the loftiest in Morocco. On reaching our destination, we stow away unnecessary items at the hostel, embark on camelback, and embark on a tranquil journey through the expansive sand dunes. As we reach the desert camp nestled in the dunes, we ascend the highest dune to witness a mesmerizing sunrise. The evening promises a delightful dinner and a night spent in a traditional tent, immersed under the twinkling stars.
day 5: Exploration of Merzouga Desert by jeep
Before dawn, we witness Erg Chebbi’s enchanting sunrise. After a camel ride return to the hotel in merzouga Desert , a refreshing shower and breakfast await. Our journey includes circling Erg Chebbi, home to Morocco’s Grand Dune, over 250 meters tall, and tracing the Paris-Dakar rally trail with views of Algeria’s bordering mountains.
Stops at Tissardmin oasis and a nomadic settlement reveal their unique lifestyles. A panoramic viewpoint showcases Erg Chebbi’s grandeur. Khamlia, an authentic Mali village, offers tea and a small Gnawa music concert.
