Embark on your journey to the Sahara Desert’s Erg Chebbi, starting a bit earlier today to accommodate the several hours of driving ahead. Despite the length, the trip promises delightful sights along the way. Begin with a brief detour to the charming city of Ifrane, renowned for its popularity as a summer and winter destination, thanks to its ski resort. Additionally, we will make a stop at the UNESCO-listed cedar forest, where you might have the opportunity to feed and interact with a colony of Barbary Macaques
Following lunch in Midelt, you will travel via the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, the Ziz Gorge, and finally a second stop at the expansive Ziz Valley, which is home to an endless number of palm trees. Travel through Erfoud and arrive to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. The hotel staff will greet you warmly and provide you mint tea, as it is a Moroccan custom. Enjoy a romantic meal at the restaurant or by the pool under the stars.
2th Day: Jeep desert tour > camel ride > Merzouga Desert Camp
Following breakfast, the majority of your day will be spent exploring the wonders of the desert area. Traverse the vast sand dunes to reach the oasis of Merzouga, where you can learn about the ancient traditional ‘Khettaras’ irrigation method. Start your day early with a climb up the sand dune for a breathtaking sunrise view. Following breakfast and a shower, we’ll proceed to Erfoud, known for its fossil excavations and vibrant date market. Then, we’ll make our way to the magnificent Todra Gorge for some sightseeing and stretching before continuing our journey to spend the night in the picturesque Dades Valley.
4th day: Dades Valley > rose Valley > Skoura > Ouarzazate
On the second day of our 5-day Morocco tour, we’ll embark on an unforgettable visit to the Todra Gorges.
